Jack is not a very gifted character when it concerns math, literature, spelling or other practical abilities you’d need to master to get a great education and/or a very economically wealthy future (He was never the smartest student in the class). However, he never really cared about these lacks of talent since he had a lot bigger focus on himself and his radiance. He is a very gifted character when it comes to his other features such as his looks, his radiance and his talent to manipulate other people; particularly women.
He isn’t upset about not being very wealthy, in fact he is very confident with himself as he is. He may not be very intelligent but he is very cunning and agile, and he is very good at seeing through people and to predict their upcoming moves. He is too a very outgoing and social character, and his main pastime is partying at nights, either scoring attractive women or just getting drunk; as long as he has fun.
Jack has his own way of handling the world and dealing with people and if things go as planned then he is successful most of the time.

He has a very colorful and extremely expanded personality. He goes from being an arrogant gambler to being a very gentle and caring character; in other words: He goes from being a self-centered character putting his own needs at first priority, and then to be very aware of other people’s feelings and needs, and putting theirs before his own. This does, however, only count for close friends or people he has come to feel much sympathy for (Though that does not happen a lot since Jack is of the opinion that every man sails his own ship).


Jack’s Childhood:

Jack was an accident and was born too early in his parents' life.
His parents were (when Jack was little) way too busy with their lives to have more kids by that time, so Jack would grow up as an only child, very loved and got a lot of (if not all) attention. Because even though his parents were very busy with their lives at that time, they didn’t doubt a second that they would be there for their son. They are caring people and they show their children great love.
Jack’s parents always knew they wanted more kids and become a big happy family, which sure came true: A couple of years later, when they felt ready for it, they decided to have another child. However, the short story is that they ended up having triplets twice and twins once (so 8 younger siblings for Jack). That is why there is such a big age difference between Jack and his siblings.
Their family is still functioning just fine, but as you can imagine with such a big family, there is of course a lot of riot and a big mess pretty much all the time; the only quiet moments are when the children are all asleep. But just as much as there is riot, there is plenty of love; there is a strong family bond in the Rittler family.


More about Jack:

The arrogant part of Jack’s personality comes from the years when he was an only-child. He was the only one to get all the attention by his parents, and in school he had a talent of interacting with his classmates and became quite popular from the start. He was the kid everyone wanted to play with, but only the ones who could keep up with him and his stunts and ideas could play along.
In the older classes he also became very popular among the girls because of his charm, and his curiosity towards the opposite gender was quickly awakened inside Jack and his talent of interacting with girls developed in him, and in the later years he started to get better at manipulating women. It didn’t last long before Jack lost his virginity, but to Jack sex was a particularly bigger deal physically than it was mentally. Even though Jack enjoys physical contact more than anything he isn’t interested in deep emotional relationships since they call for bigger responsibilities which aren’t Jack’s cup of tea.

Jack’s curiosity towards women is part of the reason why he never got to be that student in class with the best grades. The other part is simply that school never really said Jack anything: To him life is a game full of interesting goods that can be found anywhere: More around people than around books, calculators and offices. To Jack life shouldn’t be wasted with literature and math, and so he doesn’t want to think more about those things more than necessary.

Though Jack is a very self centered character most of the time he is also very caring and considerate about his family and friends. He has learned the importance of appreciating his family and friends and the love they share with him.

Jack is a quite lazy character, at least at daytime. The raccoon is (as an animal) most active at night, a nocturnal, which suits Jack’s personality as well. He’s most calm and lazy at day but as soon as the sun starts to set he gets more active and he isn’t afraid of starting something. Whether it is scoring women, having fun getting drunk or starting up fights doesn’t matter, those things are pure fun to him and they give him the adrenaline kick he’s looking for.
